The Astronomy Club of Tulsa in collaboration with the City of Tulsa Parks Department will offer a free public observing night at Hunter Park on Friday, December 6 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.  This is a public come-and-go event. .  The entrance to Hunter Park is located off 91st Street between Yale and Sheridan. ( 5804 E 91st ST )   Turn into the park and follow the road south to a large concrete area near the playground and picnic shelter.  We encourage you to dress warmly so that you can stay awhile and enjoying the views of the night sky.  The event is open to the public

Volunteers from the Astronomy Club will bring telescopes to allow our guests to view the moon along with the planets Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter.  Other night sky treasures include star cluster, nebulae, and galaxies.   You may also seek advice from knowledgeable club members about telescopes for beginners for yourself or to aid your gift giving ideas.
