The Winter sky has 8 of the 20 brightest stars. Notable constellations include Orion, Taurus, Gemini, Auriga and Canis Major. Favorite telescopic sights include the Pleiades star cluster in Taurus and the beautiful Orion Nebula M 42 along with numerous other objects. Early in the evening we may be able to catch Saturn and Mercury before they set in the west. Venus is shining brightly in the constellation of Pisces. Jupiter can be found high in the south in Taurus. Jupiter with its cloud bands and four visible moons is also and interesting sight. Mars is still shining brightly in the constellation of Gemini. All these attractions make it well worth a winter adventure under stars.
PLEASE NOTE: If adverse weather is nearby, we may cancel or close earlier.
