Come enjoy a night under the stars in our darker rural skies.  Now that Spring has arrived with its promise of warmer weather we can enjoy an evening under the stars.  You should bring a warm jacket as our rural hilltop location in cooler than urban temperatures.   We have chairs in the classroom, or you can bring your own lawn chairs.  You may also like to bring a snack and something to drink.  Please keep children with your group.  Younger children may enjoy a quiet activity of their own.   Please leave pets at home since this is a dark area with with people walking around enjoying the telescopes.

Please do not use insect repellant sprays away from the telescopes.

Our Astronomy club is a volunteer non-profit organization.  Our guests are encouraged to consider a donation to help us with the ongoing expenses so that we can continue to offer opportunities come enjoy the starry night sky.

Please check our WEBSITE HOME PAGE  before heading out as events may have to cancelled due to clouds or other weather conditions.

NOTE: Event may be cancelled if temperatures are extremely low even if sky is clear.

The planets Jupiter and Mars are still well placed for telescope viewing.  The  winter constellations of Taurus, Orion and Gemini are still visible in the early evening.   The Big Dipper and the constellation of Leo are rising in the east.  Our telescopes will provide pleasing views of the star clusters, nebula and galaxies scattered behind the starry foreground.
